Considered a favorite among the right-wing factions of the ruling Conservative party, Braverman was removed from her position on Monday. In her letter to Sunak, she stated, “Someone needs to be honest: your plan is not working, we have endured record election defeats, your resets have failed, and we are running out of time. You need to change course urgently.”

This development follows Braverman’s previous allegations of left-wing bias within the police force. In a reshuffle of his top team, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak dismissed Braverman last week.

Braverman accused Sunak of “equivocation, disregard, and a lack of interest” concerning various policies. “You have manifestly and repeatedly failed to deliver on every single one of these key policies,” she emphasized. “Either your distinctive style of government means you are incapable of doing so, or, as I must surely conclude now, you never had any intention of keeping your promises.”

Among the issues highlighted in her letter, Braverman described Sunak’s rejection of withdrawing from the European Convention on Human Rights as a method to advance the government’s agenda as a “betrayal.” She criticized his preference for wishful thinking over tough decision-making, which has allegedly left the country in a difficult position.

Additionally, Braverman accused Sunak of failing to address the increasing threats of anti-Semitism and extremism within the UK. “I have become hoarse urging you to consider legislation to ban hate marches and help combat rising racism, intimidation, and terrorist glorification that are threatening community cohesion,” she added, questioning the prime minister’s reluctance to make tough choices for the sake of political risk mitigation.

Suella Braverman has gained a reputation for controversial statements throughout her political career. Her latest clash with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has further fueled discussions surrounding her provocative nature.
