Check TAN/PAN Application and Change Request Status Online – NSDL

PAN Card and TAN comes under the supervision of NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited). From PAN Application, TAN Application, Editing, Update, Linking and other online services, to checking PAN status and TAN status, all these services are provided by NSDL on their official website tin.nsdl.com .

How to check PAN application status?

To check PAN card status online, you need to follow following steps –

1. Go to https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/pantan/StatusTrack.html .
2. In the application type option, select PAN New/Change Request option.
3. In the next form that comes, make sure that the first letter is N.
4. After the N letter, enter your 15-digit numeric PAN application number.
5. Verify status of application using the code provided there.
6. Enter the code in the next box.
7. Click on Submit button.

You will be able to see your PAN Application status there. If you do not remember your 14-digit serial number, you can simply check your PAN application receipt or email for that.

How to check PAN Change Status

To check PAN Card change status, you need to follow the above given step exactly. In the form, you need to enter the application number that you got while applying for correction in PAN Card. Correction status is checked the same way as the application status.

How to check TAN Application status?

To check TAN application status online, you need to follow the provided steps –

1. Go to NSDL tan and pan status tracking page – https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/pantan/StatusTrack.html.
2. There, you will get the form to check application status.
3. In the application type section, select TAN new/change request option.
4. In the next form, enter the receipt number you got while applying for TAN.
5. Verify the code from provide image.
6. Click on the submit button.

Your current status of TAN Application shall be shown there.

How to check TAN correction status online?

To check TAN update status, follow the above mentioned steps and enter the TAN correction application reference number instead.
